Adam Clark

Adam has been a trustee of JustUs since 2018 and is currently secretary. He is also currently involved in the work of Companions Real Bread (a co-produced bakery, staffed by people with experience of the criminal justice system) and Community Led Initiatives (a peer-mentoring service).

His personal experience of homelessness and addiction means he has acquired in depth knowledge from seeing both sides of professional services, and he can therefore bring a level of insight to JustUs often lacking in homelessness services.

Adam’s approach is marked by a mixture of empathy, authenticity and intelligence, and he is committed to seeing the hidden wisdom of people who’ve experienced homelessness being a leading voice in how services respond to homelessness. Adam is not afraid to call out bad practice and bring constructive challenge when needed, and believes co-production is a big part of the solution to homelessness – in fact, without it, he believes homelessness will never be effectively dealt with.

He is also a talented artist.
