As a way of raising funds for JustUs’ running costs, one of our caseworkers is delivering a fun and informal introductory session to astronomy photography.

Delegates can bring their dslr camera and we’ll go through some key theory about night-time photography. You don’t need to know much about how to use your camera, as this will be covered in the session, although some basic knowledge about your cameras controls will be useful.

We’ll then get ‘hands-on’ to learn how to set our cameras up to shoot the stars.

As an added bonus, the Perseid meteor shower will be happening, so if the skies are clear there will be the opportunity for those who want to to go out and do it for real after the session has finished.

Tickets are £15 per head + booking fee from here

And please be warned, astronomy photography is very addictive.
